Update:

This page has been removed for now, but we urge you to be careful of Minnesota Housing lookalikes and to report them if necessary.

People with questions about federal rental assistance are encouraged to contact their local Public Housing Agency: https://www.hud.gov/program_offices/public_indian_housing/pha/contacts

Minnesota Housing does not manage waitlists or offer vouchers.
. . . . . . . . . .

Original post:

A scam page called "Minnesota Housing Development Authority" just popped up that mimics our official page and claims we are accepting Section 8 housing vouchers.

Please DO NOT click on their link(s). This is a phishing attempt that steals personal information via fake voucher applications. We are working with Meta to get it removed.

Family Housing Fund is thrilled to be a winner in the Valuing Homes in Black Communities Challenge developed by Ashoka and The Brookings Institution! We are so excited to continue learning from the other innovators in this Challenge and to work with community partners and stakeholders to implement our innovation.

To address disparities in homeownership and home valuation, we aim to increase access to liquidity for Black homeowners by co-designing and piloting a new mortgage product on the private market.

Family Housing Fund is honored to be a finalist in the Valuing Homes in Black Communities Challenge hosted by Ashoka and the The Brookings Institution! Our proposed innovation would expand access to liquidity for Black homeowners, which can be used to preserve and grow the value of their homes. This is an outgrowth of our Building Equity Initiative to reduce racial wealth gaps.

Our innovation idea is just one piece of the puzzle to fully valuing homes in Black communities. Check out the amazing community of innovators tackling this challenge!

As part of our efforts to support the development and community ownership of small multifamily homes, we partnered with MSR Design to create three sets of construction plans for energy efficient duplexes. These construction plans are free to use, and we hope they help reduce the cost of new construction for local, emerging, and BIPOC developers.

Developers may request access to the designs on our website: https://www.fhfund.org/report/duplex-designs/

New release! We worked with a team of architects to create an ADU Idea Book for Mid-Century Homes, including architectural plans and sample budgets for six feasible ADUs.

ADUs provide flexible housing solutions for families and help communities meet their housing needs. But they remain scarce in the mid-century suburbs surrounding Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Without existing models, it can be hard to visualize an ADU that fits on your property and in your neighborhood.

The purpose of this Idea Book is to help you envision a feasible ADU for your mid-century home and get inspired! Homeowners are encouraged to use these architectural designs as a starting point for their own projects.

Get inspired! Visualize tangible, feasible ADUs for your mid-century neighborhood.
