Looking for a fun activity for toddlers and young children? Come to the Stories Together with Drag Performers event on Sat. Nov. 2 at Hosmer Library from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Celebrate self-expression, dress-up, and gender fluidity through stories, rhymes, music and movement with drag performers from our community. These events will be a safe, positive, and encouraging space for children and caregivers to express themselves in an open environment.

Hosmer Library will be hosting an event this Sunday, February 26, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM on the history of racial discrimination in housing in South Minneapolis. Learn about the Mapping Prejudice study, the legacy of housing discrimination, and the stories of housing integration pioneers.

Join Macalester College professor Duchess Harris as she talks about the historical roots of the Black Lives Matter movement in this three-part series, Sundays, Sept. 11, 18 and 25, 2-3 p.m., at Hosmer Library.

Teens in grades 6-12 can have up to $10 in fines and fees taken off their library card in October at Hennepin County libraries. Teens can also replace a lost library card for free. Ask for more information at the service desk at your library or apply for a free library card or replacement card online. Teens can also apply online to have their fines and fees waived.
