Dear SAM Community,

It is with profound sadness that we share news of the tragic incident involving a Senegalese family in Columbus, Ohio. Earlier this week, a devastating house fire claimed the lives of three members of the Dieye family and left their loved ones facing immense pain and hardship.

Following an emergency meeting held by the national leadership of all Senegalese Associations in the United States, each state association was informed of the situation and encouraged to stand in unity and prayer with the affected family and the Senegalese community in Ohio.

The national leadership, together with the Consul, is coordinating the collective support and response on behalf of all states. SAM joins our brothers and sisters across the country in offering prayers for the deceased and for the full recovery of those who were injured.

May Allah SWT grant Jannatul Firdaus to the departed, ease the suffering of the family, and bring comfort to all who are grieving.
We invite our community to continue praying for the Dieye family and showing compassion during this heartbreaking time.

Thank you for your unity and solidarity.

With sympathy and community support,

Senegalese Association of Minnesota (SAM)
