Founded in 1960, Avivo provides chemical and mental health services, housing support, career education, and employment services. We specialize in helping individuals and families who face personal or systemic barriers – poverty, homelessness, joblessness, chemical

Last week, Avivo was proud to participate in a Youth Advocacy Pop-Up, where youth and youth-serving organizations came together to share resources, build connections, and strengthen community. While Avivo provides a range of services to support young people, events like this remind us that the best outcomes happen when organizations work together to ensure youth can access the support they need.

With the growth of Avivo Threads – Avivo’s new professional clothing closet (see above in-kind need), we’ll need a way to display those new clothes. We're working to develop a professional clothing closet to help participants in our programs have the clothes and confidence for job interviews or starting new jobs. Fabric arts can be fun for adults - but also for kids in our programs! Thanks to Broderick Poole, with COMPAS, who introduced Avivo participants and their families to different fabrics and materials to tell stories and build different characters.
