Calla Jarvie is the director of Rock County Community Library, located in the SW corner of Minnesota and serving a community of roughly 9,704 residents.Rock County Community Library offers free library cards to all residents and access not only to their 32,000 items, but to every item in the Plum Creek Library System as a member, and to catalogs from libraries across Minnesota through MNLINK.

Beyond their collections, this library is committed to serving the community through programming and education, and Calla’s initiative to bridge the gap between the library and farming is a perfect example. Calla collaborated with the Rock County Farm Bureau to educate patrons on the various aspects of farming, an integral aspect of their community, and offer resources through the library for continued learning. This led to her recognition as Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation Advocate of the Year.
