πŸ“£ Announcing the Reimagine Aging Conference lineup!

Technology seems like it changes faster and faster every day. You know it can be helpful, but how do you figure out what is actually safe and useful?

Our lineup of speakers is ready to get you up to speed. Through our year-round educational work, we hear what topics have older adults and caregivers most excited or in need of clarity. We use this knowledge to pick sessions that are really relevant to what people are thinking about now in 2026.

And the topic we have gotten the most questions about in the past year is the subject of our Keynote Panel -- "AI & Aging: Promise, Risk, and Real-World Impact." Whether artificial intelligence has you excited, concerned, or somewhere in between, this panel will provide a balanced, accessible discussion: What it can do, where caution is needed, and how it may impact older adults going forward.

Tickets (and an older adult discount) available now! Early bird prices are available until July 1st. https://seniorcommunity.org/2026rac-agenda/

***Attendees are eligible for 3 MN Social Work CE hours.

Team building with your co-workers 🀝 Giving back

Thank you One Pass for putting in a few hours to spruce up Kay's and Linda's yards in Minneapolis! Our program participants often say how much of a gift it is to have neighbors who are willing to lend a hand.

More pictures from Bingo for Better Aging ✨

The tally is in and you raised just over $50,000 for Senior Community Services! We want to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and our event volunteers. We're endlessly grateful to our community for making events like this β€” and our everyday work of empowering people as they age β€” possible.

Technology is everywhere... which is why Technology Coach Eileen will go from the Apple Store to the Edina Senior Center parking lot to get the job done. Because once you pick a new device (hard enough), you have to connect it to your car (even harder!).

If you have a technology problem, our coaches can help you solve it. Give us a call to make an appointment: 952-888-5530.

Bingo for Better Aging was on Wednesday and we feel like big winners! 🏠🧑 The energy was high, the community care was present, and of course, musical bingo was played. (Congrats to this year's bingo winners Katie, Eric, and Greg)

While the final tally is still coming in, we can safely say that the funds raised will go a long way toward supporting our services. While we wait for next year, we'll be continuing our work to keep older adults independent and caregiver supported through all of life's changes.

It's that time of year where hundreds of volunteers are going out to spruce up their older neighbors' lawns. Thank you to Debbie Goettel's team who went out last week! 🏠🌱

The Minnesota Department of Human Services and the Minnesota Board on Aging have launched a statewide survey asking older adults about their daily lives, needs and experiences. Responses will help the State of Minnesota improve services and supports for older adults.

Anyone age 60 or older living in Minnesota is eligible to complete the survey. It takes about 20 minutes to complete, and answers are private and won't be linked to your name.

For more information or to take the survey, visit: https://mn.gov/dhs/aging-survey
