This week I’ve been working in the kitchen at MWHS to coach my employees and enhance the customer experience. It’s been fun to see the kids come through the line with great manners and to hear them get excited about our options.

On Thursday we featured teriyaki steak tips over rice and today we served cheese tortellini with either red sauce or alfredo.

Emily, the kitchen manager, made vegetable beef barley soup and chicken wild rice soup, and we always have so many amazing roasted vegetables. Plus watermelon, strawberries, and red pears.

Of course, we have a few staples daily such as cold cut sandwiches, pb&js, burgers, chicken sandwiches, mini corn dogs, and some pizza sticks.

School lunch really is delicious and I would invite anyone to come and eat with us any day of the week.

We love feeding the students and staff of Westonka!

Plus fruits, veggies, and milk!!

It might not be all the snacks and sweets they had all summer, but there are plenty of options to keep them fueled until after school!!
