Patrol Officer - Minong Police Department

Minong Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of Patrol Officer. In this position you would be responsible for;
- Enforcing state laws and local ordinances
- Performing routine community patrols
- Responding to 911 emergencies
- Investigating crimes
- Completing detailed reports
- Testifying in court
- Assisting members of the public
- (Other duties as assigned)

Qualifications
- Must be a certified law enforcement officer by the Wisconsin Department of Justice - Law Enforcement Standards Board
- Must hold a valid drivers license
- Previous work experience is preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills
*Applicants that have any felony or domestic violence convictions will not be considered

About the Community & Minong Police Department
MPD is the primary law enforcement agency responsible for providing police services to both the Village and Town of Minong. Minong is located in the NorthWest corner of scenic Washburn County, WI, with a permanent population of 1,540, and a greatly increased seasonal population. MPD coveres approximately 73 square miles, sharing borders with both Douglas and Burnett Counties. Minong is known for being a haven for outdoor recreationalist and boasts a landscape surrounded by pristine lakes and wilderness.
