Update: 5/29/26, Minooka, IL – The Minooka Police Department announces the results from the Memorial Day additional enforcement campaign:
• 10 No Seatbelt citations
• 3 Distracted Driving citations
• 1 Speeding citation
• 1 No Insurance citation
• 1 Driving While License Suspended citation

5/14/26, Minooka, IL – The Minooka Police Department is joining law enforcement agencies across Illinois for the 2026 “Click It or Ticket” campaign running May 15-26 during the Memorial Day travel period.

The Minooka Police Department announces the retirement of Officer Kiedra Meece.

Today, May 21, 2026, at 1530 hours, Officer Meece officially concluded 29 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Dwight and the Village of Minooka and the law enforcement profession.

Officer Meece served as a Patrol Officer, Juvenile Officer, Detective, Member of the Major Crimes Task Force, Elderly Service Officer, Bicycle Officer, Field Training Officer and School Resource Officer. Throughout her service, she protected the community with honor, compassion, professionalism, and unwavering dedication.

Officer Meece, you represented the very best traditions of law enforcement. We thank you for your selfless service, your leadership, and your commitment to the citizens of Minooka. Your impact on this department and community will not be forgotten, and your career has left a lasting difference in the lives of countless people you served alongside and protected.

You are officially 10-42. We wish you the very best in your retirement!
