Please help this gentleman out. He is trying to raise funds for local food pantry’s. Ours being one. If you could spare even $5 would be awesome.
Just under two weeks to go. In fact two weeks from now I should be starting the recovery process along with pushing the final two weeks of fundraising and food drives.
I will make the last day of accepting donations and close any food drives that may happening on September 18. But in the mean time I have a state to cross.
Each day I get a bit more antsy. A bit more nervous. A bit more apprehensive about what I am really thinking. But I guess that is just part of the game.
I mean it really isn't a game, as it is grueling, exhausting, exciting, scary, funny, and highly rewarding, but it definitely is not a game.
A friendly game of which county can donate the most items would be a great game. A friendly competition between local businesses to see who can drive in the most donations is a great game. Riding a bicycle 110 miles then immediately paddling approximately 30 hours nonstop, definitely not a game.
If you fine folks in all these communities would like to handle the games end of it I am more than happy to handle the not a game end of it. But, if anyone would like to get in on a bit of the not a game end of it I am still looking for a couple crew members in different areas of my route who might want to be a part of the action. Help with fueling and hydration. Assist in portaging across the six dams along my route. Aid in safety and promoting along the bicycle route as well as fueling and hydration assistance. For now, I have received our first couple donations, and that's a good sign. The word is getting out. Thank you the wonderful person who made a generous donation to the Wexford county gofundme page to support Love INC of Wexford and Osceola Counties food pantry, and to one of my fellow disc golf league members who made an off line donation to support the Roscommon County Food Pantry.
The ball is rolling, lets see how far we can push it.
