🚒🔥 SJC911 is coming to a fire department near you! 🔥🚒

In honor of Fire Prevention Week, our team collected some goodies to put together appreciation baskets for our local fire departments!

Just like we did for our law enforcement partners, we want our firefighters to know how much we appreciate everything they do for our community and for the partnership they share with our dispatchers every single day. ❤️

We’re excited to start making our deliveries and showing a little love to the departments we are so fortunate to work alongside!

Thank you to all of our firefighters for your service, dedication, and partnership! 🚒📞❤️

Carrie, thank you for 24 incredible years of service! ❤️

Your knowledge and skills on the police side were truly top-notch, and you set a standard that so many others have worked to follow. You showed up, day after day — and we won’t even talk about how much unused sick time you had! 😄

You were always professional, kind, dependable, and incredibly proud of this profession. Over the years, you helped shape countless trainees, gave field responders confidence and a sense of safety when they heard your voice on the radio, and helped more citizens than we could ever count during some of the most desperate moments of their lives.

Your impact on this center goes far beyond the number of years you served. It is in the people you trained, the responders you supported, the citizens you helped, and the memories you created with all of us.

You will forever be our Reba, and the memories, laughs, stories, and moments we shared with you will stay with us forever. ❤️

Carrie, we are so proud of you and incredibly grateful for everything you have given to this profession and our 9-1-1 family.

We wish you nothing but happiness and success in your next chapter. You have certainly earned it! ❤️

Congratulations on 24 amazing years, Carrie!

On September 12, a call was received for a 64-year-old patient experiencing cardiac arrest inside a vehicle, which resulted in a confirmed save.

Our very own Charity quickly recognized the seriousness of the situation and immediately took action. Just one minute after receiving the call, she instructed the caller to place the patient flat on their back on the ground and initiated life-saving measures.

Excellent job, Charity, on quickly recognizing the emergency, getting help started, and encouraging the caller to continue CPR until help arrived. Your calm and decisive actions helped provide the caller with the guidance they needed during a critical moment.

Great work, Charity (soon to be bride)!!!

Incredibly proud of four of our leaders who are investing in themselves and our agency through NENA Supervisor Training! 💛🖤

Opportunities like this are about so much more than sitting in a classroom. They’re a chance to network with other 9-1-1 professionals, gain new perspectives, strengthen leadership skills, and bring ideas back to our center that can make us better.

We continue to work toward our mission and core values while strengthening our leadership and building the culture we want for SJC911. But none of that happens without dedicated people who are willing to learn, grow, and put in the work.

Proud of these four for being LOCKED IN and committed to making a difference! 💪📞

🎉 **Congratulations, Deann!** 🎉

We are incredibly proud to congratulate **Deann** on being recognized at the **2026 Indiana 911 Professionals Conference as Telecommunicator of the Year!** 🏆💛

Anyone who knows Deann knows that recognition isn't exactly her favorite thing (like at all), but sometimes, it’s important to stop and recognize: **YOU DID MAKE A DIFFERENCE.**

In this case, those words couldn't be truer. Deann helped save the life of someone experiencing an acute suicidal crisis. She stayed with them during an incredibly vulnerable and critical moment, and her actions made a difference when it mattered most.

But Deann's impact goes far beyond one call. She is always willing to step up for our field responders, citizens, coworkers, and community partners. Whether she’s training new hires on fire dispatching, coming in to help during severe weather, or simply being someone her team can count on, she continues to make a difference every day.

And, of course, she always keeps things lively on shift! 😂

Deann, thank you for your dedication, compassion, and commitment to the people we serve. You may not like the recognition, but this one is incredibly well deserved.

**Congratulations, Deann — 2026 Telecommunicator of the Year!** 🎧🏆💛

What happens after the headset comes off? 💛

Working in 9-1-1 is rewarding, challenging, and emotionally demanding. We asked some of our team members to share what helps them decompress, recharge, and support their mental well-being outside of work.

Everyone’s way of resetting looks a little different — and that’s the point. Finding what works for you matters.

Take a look at how our team takes care of the person behind the headset. 💛

⚔️ Our White Knight Saves Again! ⚔️

On February 28th, Josh provided life-saving CPR instructions over the phone, resulting in a confirmed save, adding yet another incredible accomplishment to his growing list of recognitions.

This marks Josh's 5th recognition since the day he cleared call-taking, and he has become the first employee at our agency to earn four of our five recognition pins. His recognitions include a baby delivery, an apprehension, two caller-in-crisis, and now a CPR save.

What makes Josh so special isn't just the awards, it's his unwavering commitment to helping others on what may be the worst day of their lives. He consistently demonstrates compassion, professionalism, and a genuine dedication to serving our community.

Josh is an amazing 911 professional, an outstanding partner on the floor, and someone we are incredibly proud to have on our team.

Congratulations, Josh, and thank you for continuing to make a difference when it matters most! 👏🚑
