It's a new day
Oh, it's a new time
And there's a new way
I'm gonna live my life
All the old has, passed away
And the new has come
Thank God, It's a brand new day

Verse 1:
Lookin' back on yesterday
There are things that I regret
But I put the past behind me
And I never will forget
You have covered my mistakes
And my broken dreams
Now over the horizon
I see the dawn is drawing near
And I realize the sun did rise
Tomorrow's finally here

(Chorus)

Verse 2:
Now when I wake up thinkin'
'Bout the things I've done before
Memories I could not escape
Well they can't haunt me anymore
Now I can hold my head up high
'Cause I am not the same
You've changed my whole perspective
And with new eyes I see
I've become a new creation
'Cause of what You've done for me

(Chorus)

Bridge:
'Cause of what You've done for me
No, I am not ashamed
This heart of mine is finally free
I'll never be the same. lyrics from Avalon song "New Day"

It's your endorsement that matters most: your vote today on November 8th. It would be an honor and a privilege to serve you on the Mishawaka City Council. In this very challenging economy, keeping Mishawaka moving forward will be my highest priority- for our families. friends and our whole community. Thank-you for your consideration during this crucial election time.

"Jim Pingel will keep Mishawaka moving forward and serve with distinction on the city council. We ask that you vote for Jim on November 8th." Former Mayor Bob Beutter and Mayor Dave Wood.

As I have walked the entire district and spoken with so many people it has become very clear that I am exactly the right person to be the next councilman. I will be a proactive councilman who puts the needs of the 6th District first. I will be responsive "out of the gate" and intend to be a well known figure on the council. Mishawaka will know who I am, what I stand for, and that I am an active participant in the political process. I'm running because it is important for good people to be involved on the local level. This is how to make a positive change on the city council which changes the city, the state, and the country for the better. It starts with your vote for me. I am asking your vote on November 8th.

The good news is that I was mentioned on the front page of the Tribune today, the bad news is that they said I was running for the 5th distict seat. So as I continue to go door to door in the 6th tonight, where I'm running for Council, I'll be sure to let people know. Hey, any press is good press, right?

I did a reading at a long time co workers funeral this week. It really helps put the whole campaign into the proper perspective and inspires the question as to what is truly important in this life. I was thankful for the opportunity to quietly reflect on where I am now in my life and what I am doing. I believe that the political process is important and that one should fully invest oneself into a campaign and put all the energy and enthusiasm they have into it. But, when you've given it all you've got and you've "left it all on the field" then it's in God's hands (and several hundred voters). So, I'm standing where He has asked me to stand, I'm doing what He has asked me to do and I will leave it all on the field! Onward to victory!

Getting really good feedback on the door to door campaign. When I was introducing myself to one resident she said, " I already voted for you." As I was thanking her, I inquired as to how she came to vote for me. She said that she had seen my many signs in the area, talked to her friends, and then voted for me on the first day of early voting. So, please keep talking to your friends, especially those in the Mishawaka 6th. With your help we can win this thing!

Thought the interview went really well. Amazing how blank your mind can go when the "on air" light goes on. I am really excited about how well the campaign is going. Meeting lots of good people, putting up so many signs, and encouraged by the enthusiasm and energy of all my fabulous campaign supporters. The tide is definitely rolling our way. I look forward to last three weeks and all that we will accomplish. Onward to Victory!

Hey y'all, I'm gonna be on FM 95.3 on tues @ 7:40 to discuss the campaign. Listen in if you can, I'm sure I'll be rather entertaining. See if you can count the ums, ahhs and the ever popular "I don't know" crash and burns. Enjoy the show!

I got them holes in my shoes blues from all the door to door this weekend. Now there is a blues song in that. No really I've got a holes in my shoes but this walkin' man gonna keep a walkin' on. (there's a song in that too) Onward to Victory!

Got a real problem here. I'm running out of door to door handouts and yard signs! Oh the worries of a successful campaign, what to do, what to do?
