We love our regular visits from therapy animals at the Adult Day Program!

Spending time with therapy animals has been shown to spark memory recall, reduce confusion and lessen anxiety or agitation. Even short visits can lead to visible changes. Patients may smile more, speak more clearly or become more alert. Emotionally, animals offer comfort without judgment, which can help reduce depression and create a stronger sense of security. These interactions also provide valuable cognitive stimulations, helping to maintain engagement and mental activity.

We regularly spend time engaging in dance, music, and group games designed specifically for memory care at the Adult Day Program, in Mission Viejo. These structured activities provide vital cognitive stimulation, which helps preserve executive functioning and fine motor skills. Group recreation also encourages social connectivity, a key factor in reducing agitation and improving the overall mood of individuals living with Alzheimer's and dementia.
Check out some our latest photos of the fun we've been having!
