Toastmasters provides people with opportunities to grow in two ways:

1. Improved Communication skills. By providing people with opportunities to speak in public, with both prepared and impromptu speeches, we grow into better communicators. Each group becomes close friends over time, making it a helpful, encouraging environment, and a good place to practice.

2. Improved Leadership skills. Opportu

nities exist within the club, and at higher levels for leadership. Each of these opportunities includes not only the experience of leadership, but also training, manuals, and mentoring. It's another great way to practice leadership skills in a non-threatening environment (like one may find at work).
