I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in our search effort yesterday. This was the largest group to date and allowed me to focus on search aspects, knowing that collective support was in place. I look forward to future collaborative endeavors in support of our missing relatives.

At 11:13 PM on March 10, 2026, Mako Sica K9 SAR was requested to assist RST Tribal Police in the search for three young relatives who had been reported missing. With the heavy accumulation of snowfall and the rugged terrain in the area, locating these individuals quickly was a high priority.

Through coordinated operations and clear communication with the relatives of the missing individuals, search teams were able to safely and successfully locate all three individuals in a timely manner.

We would like to thank EPP, RST Emergency Management, volunteers of Mako Sica K9 SAR, and most of all K9 Zeke/RST Tribal Police for their rapid response, teamwork, and collaboration that helped bring three relatives home safely.

We were privileged to receive an invitation to attend State Tribal Relations Day at the capital, where we were inspired by speakers who shared our values and concerns. It was a pleasure to reconnect with familiar faces and meet representatives from new organizations.

Many people are just now learning what Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP/MMIR) means.
Even fewer know what families are still facing — delays, gaps in resources, and unanswered questions.

On January 24, our 4Corners K-9 Search & Rescue team will be in Santa Fe with our Gunny, Moby and Rusty sharing what looks like on the ground when families are searching for their loved ones.

There will also be a film screening, by Lightning Unveiled, honoring Gomeo Bobelu, whose life was taken, and bringing awareness to the many Indigenous relatives whose stories were never fully told.

This event is a space to:
• Ask questions
• Learn what families actually need
• Understand what has changed — and what still needs to change
• Learn how you can help in real, meaningful ways

If you’re in Santa Fe, come learn what MMIP really looks like — and how you can help change it.

This work doesn’t start when the sun rises. It starts long before that—
in the dark, in the unknown, in the silence that families carry alone.

At 4Corners K-9 Search & Rescue, we meet families at one of the hardest moments of their lives…
but we don’t meet them with fear.
We meet them with movement.
With trained K9s to read the land.
With hope that refuses to quit.

People often ask what keeps us going.
But the truth is:
we don’t go because it’s easy.
We go because someone is still missing.
We go because someone’s story deserves to be found.

This Giving Tuesday, we’re asking for something bigger than a donation.
We’re asking you to stand with us in the space between “missing” and “found.”
That space is where our team works—
mile after mile, search after search, sunrise after sunrise.

Your support doesn’t sit in an account.
It turns into fuel in the truck,
boots in the dirt,
K9s on the ground,
and answers for families who have waited far too long.

Every contribution—big or small—pushes us one step closer to bringing someone home.

🪶🧡Donate this Giving Tuesday.🪶🧡
Stand with us.
Search with us.
Carry with us.
