SFOF is a bipartisan free market and free enterprise educational committee for state financial officers including but not limited to State Treasurers and Chief Financial Officers. The mission is to educate state financial officers on the critical issues facing their office and impacting state government. SFOF develops educational forums and communication plans to exchange solutions to these issues

and work to form a partnership between state financial officers, the private sector, academia, and the government. SFOF also educates the public on the vital role state financial officers’ play in the operation of state government. The mission is accomplished through advanced research to understand the facts surrounding key issues; educate the general public on these issues; and the role state financial officers have regarding them in the states. Communication to the general public includes a variety of methods including the internet, social media, television, radio, and direct marketing.
