Real strength looks like talking to a friend. Asking for help. Checking in on someone. Taking care of yourself. Showing emotion.

For Men's Health Month, we're challenging the idea that staying silent is a sign of strength.

The reality is that men are significantly more likely to die by su***de, and too many are taught to keep their struggles to themselves. Talking about mental health isn't weakness—it's action.

Read this week's Mental Health Moment to learn simple ways to start the conversation, support others and check in with yourself.

It’s not always easy to talk about substance use, but it’s more important than ever. Open conversations about fentanyl can help protect the young people you care about, whether they’re encountering drugs or not. Start the conversation. Keep it honest. Keep it going.

As Libby Davis with Keepin’ Clean for Coop says, it’s not one 60-minute conversation, but sixty 1-minute conversations.

This past weekend, we were proud to participate in the NAMI Johnson County KS NAMIWalks event at Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park as a Gold Sponsor. 💚

The weather may have been rainy, but that didn't stop our community from showing up. It was inspiring to see so many people come together to support mental health, raise awareness, and help reduce stigma.

Our team enjoyed connecting with community members and sharing information about local mental health resources. We were also excited to see Representative Sharice Davids stop by and support the event.

Thank you to NAMI Johnson County and to everyone who walked, volunteered, donated, and helped make the day a success. Together, we continue building a community where mental health matters and support is within reach.

🌈 Happy Pride Month! 🌈

Pride Month is a time to celebrate identity, honor resilience, and recognize the importance of belonging and connection.

Mental health and well-being are closely tied to feeling accepted, supported, and able to show up as your authentic self. This month, take time to care for yourself in ways that feel meaningful to you:

As Mental Health Month comes to a close, the conversation doesn’t stop here. 💚

June brings several important opportunities to continue supporting mental well-being, including PTSD Awareness Month, Men's Health Month, and Pride Month.

This month, we're focusing on small intentions that can help create more connection, compassion, and support in our communities:

💬 Check in on the men in your life
🎗️ Honor and support trauma survivors
🌈 Celebrate and affirm LGBTQ+ voices
🤝 Be present in your relationships
🏡 Advocate for safer, healthier communities
💚 Care for your body and mind without guilt

Mental health matters every month of the year. What intention are you bringing into June?

School may be out, but that often means new routines, packed calendars, vacations, camps, childcare logistics, and a whole new set of stressors to navigate.

As we ease into summer, it can help to focus on what’s within our control and let go of what isn’t. While we can’t control the weather, traffic, rising costs, or everyone else’s plans, we can make choices that support our well-being.

☀️ Stay hydrated
😴 Prioritize rest
📱 Set boundaries with social media
💚 Make time for people and activities that matter to you
🙋 Ask for help when you need it

What’s one thing in your control that you’re focusing on this summer?

Finding what works for your mental health can take time, and what helps one person may look completely different for someone else. 💚

Small changes like drinking more water, getting better sleep, talking to someone you trust, moving your body, reconnecting with hobbies, or seeking support can all make a difference over time.

This Mental Health Month, we hope you’ve found at least one thing you can carry forward to help create more good days together. 🌿
