The Mission Police Department is proud to announce the return of the Summer Youth Police Academy, taking place July 13–17, 2026!

The program is designed to provide youth with a positive, hands-on introduction to law enforcement, public safety careers, leadership, and life skills in a safe and engaging environment.

The academy is open to youth ages 14–20 and will offer participants an opportunity to interact with police officers, specialty units, emergency personnel, and community professionals while learning valuable real-world skills.

The registration fee is $40 per participant, which helps cover academy T-shirts, meals, and snacks throughout the week.

Registration will open this Friday, May 15th, and spaces are limited.

Event Dates: July 13–17, 2026

Location: Mission, Texas - TBA to participants only

The Mission EDC Downtown Assistance Program is returning, helping local businesses invest back into the heart of Downtown Mission through façade improvements, renovations, signage, accessibility upgrades, and more.

Applications officially open June 1st. Eligible businesses may apply for grant funding to support projects that strengthen and revitalize our historic downtown corridor.
