In December, our Fish Health in Kenyan Aquaculture team led by Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute, and the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) trained smallholder fish farmers on disease monitoring, biosecurity, and improved management practices to mitigate losses and boost productivity in Kenya to ! Many thanks to all our Startup and Scaling Activity team members and Management Entity Partners who joined today’s Fish Innovation Lab Research and Learning Strategy Session! 🌟

We had a rich set of discussions about challenges, opportunities, and potential for collaboration in the Fish Innovation Lab’s focus areas of aquaculture, fisheries, and nutrition. Cross-activity learning is essential to our partners’ efforts to and improve livelihoods and nutrition through sustainable aquatic food systems. We look forward to many more conversations to come!

Fish Innovation Lab Director Mark Lawrence will serve as the next vice chair of the Feed the Future Innovation Lab council, helping to advocate for Feed the Future research programs and facilitate coordination of activities amongst the Innovation Labs in their efforts to 🤝🌍
