Men for Change

Men for Change Men For Change, Inc. is a 501(c)3 Non-profit Community outreach organization formed in March,1994. O Men for Change (MFC) is a title 501 c (3) organization.

The vision and objectives of the organization are to:

• Develop ideals of brotherhood and services;
• Promote educational excellence;
• Promote scholarship funding;
• Promote the general welfare and community betterment

Over the last 24 months, Men for Change has been fortunate to have several sponsoring partners to provide a large portion of the revenue required to carry-out our viable mission

within the organization. We are truly thankful to British Petroleum (BP), Aetna, American Business Machines, Fort Bend Cares and others for their unwavering support. The organization also raises funds through MFC-sponsored events to add to our revenue stream. Our major fundraising activities are the MFC Annual Gala, which is held the first Friday in January, followed by our annual golf tournament held the first Monday in March of each year. Men for Change is fully dedicated to education excellence. We are guided by a quote by famous businessman and author Andy McIntyre that says, “If you think education is expensive, try ignorance!” To that end, MFC has provided 16 scholarships in 2012 with a total value of $24,000 to deserving high school seniors in Fort Bend County. As an organization, we are committed to continuous support our young men and women to help them to become industrious, productive citizens within the communities in which they live. My deepest appreciation goes to all the brothers within the Men for Change organization for all of their hard work as well as all of our exceptional sponsors.

Men For Change held our annual Scholarship Raffle today. First prize was sold by Will Ross, second prize was sold by Rodney Toussaint, third prize was sold by Ron Griffin. Thank you to all who purchased Tickets our students appreciate your support. We are a 501 c3 all monies donated are given to students. We are a all volunteer organization.

The COVID-19 pandemic has made it difficult for some organizations to raise scholarship money for students. Isiah spoke with one such group about the issue.

The MFC Golf Scholarship tournament was a great success. We had beautiful weather and a great group of golfers. We hope to repeat our event next year. Thanks to all the folks who played or donated to our scholarship program. We will open our scholarship application in January 2020.

Men For Change held their Scholarship Gala Friday night at Quail Valley at City Center. Seven students were awarded scholarships. It was the silver anniversary for the organization. We hope to see you there next year.
