Non-Traditional Scholarships,
Applications due May 31, 2026

The Lawrence County Community Foundation is accepting applications for non-traditional scholarships. Non-traditional scholarships are available to students who postponed pursuing secondary education one or more years after graduating from high school.
Application deadline is May 31, 2026.

Mitchell City Youth League Opening Day is May 2nd, and we’re inviting vendors to set up and join the fun!

🕗 Games start at 8:00 AM and you’re welcome to stay open as late as you’d like during the day’s festivities.

💲 Vendor fee: $25 setup + 10% of proceeds

Opening Day brings a great crowd of families, players, and community members, making it a fun opportunity to showcase your business or products.

Discover the world of tea with us! Join us for Tea School: A Series at Mitchell Community Public Library—an inviting introduction to tea varieties, guided tastings, and expert insights. Whether you're new to tea or already a fan, this series offers something for everyone.
Class 1: Teas of the World- Tuesday, May 19 at 6:00 PM
This session will cover tea types, history, origins, brewing basics, loose leaf vs. tea bags, tea ware, and tea tasting.
Registration is required. Please call the library at 812-849-2412 to sign up.
We hope you’ll join us for an evening of learning and tasting.
