Moab is the largest city and county seat of Grand County in eastern Utah. The region is home to two national parks - Arches and Canyonlands - and attracts millions of tourists annually. Moab has a rich history that includes farming, ranching, mining, and, most recently, outdoor tourism. Rules of Conduct for Posting Comments on City of Moab Social Media Accounts:

Any comment or post shall relate

to discussion of Moab programs, services, projects, issues, events, or activities. Neither Moab nor its personnel may edit comments or posts to official Moab social medial accounts. However, Moab may withhold or remove comments or posts that do not relate to Moab business or that:

a. Promote, foster, or perpetuate discrimination based on race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, national origin, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or that otherwise encourage discrimination in violation of applicable laws, regulations, ordinances, or policies;
b. Include slanderous or defamatory statements against any person, including but not limited to Moab personnel;
c. Threaten, harass, or use obscene, indecent, or profane language or content;
d. Include obscene or sexual content, or links to obscene or sexual content, including indecent or pornographic material;
e. Solicit commerce or advertisements including promotions or endorsements;
f. Promulgate spam that include links to external online sites;
h. Violate a legal ownership interest of any person, including the improper use of a trademark or copyrighted material;
i. Promote, endorse, or oppose the candidacy of any person, petition, or referendum or otherwise violate applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Political Activities of Public Entities Act, Utah Code Ann. § 20A-11-1201, et seq.;
j. Include fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading information;
k. May compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems;
l. Threaten public safety personnel;
m. Disclose private, protected, or confidential material as defined by state or federal laws and regulations or Moab ordinance or policy; or

⚾ Have ideas for improvements at the Center Street Ballpark? We want to hear from you!

The City of Moab is hosting a Community Open House to share information and gather community input on the proposed renovations to the Center Street Ball Fields.

🕔 5–7 p.m.
📍 Grand Center, Moab

This is a drop-in event, so stop by anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. to:
• 🏟️ Review potential design concepts informed by recent community survey responses.
• 💬 Ask questions and share your ideas, preferences, and feedback.
• 🤝 Talk one-on-one with the project’s design consultants and City staff.
• 📊 Explore the results of the community survey.

Whether you completed the survey or are just learning about the project, all local residents are encouraged to attend.

Come by, learn more, and share your thoughts.

This project will be funded in part by Recreation, Arts & Parks taxes.

The Special Meeting is to solicit comments for Utah Division of Water Resources Funding of the water tank project

The Regular Meeting agenda has several general business items, including discussion/action on a sponsorship agreement with Jeep; discussion of Moab Area Transit as it relates to the county's Arches Shuttle Program; and consideration of a memorandum of understanding between the City of Moab and Grand County regarding shuttle stops and visitor parking for the Moab–Arches Shuttle Pilot Project.

Although this is not a city-sponsored event, the Serve-A-Thon aims to raise funds for local emergency responders and donations and volunteer assistance for area nonprofits. Participants can donate and complete service activities in advance, and also join in Sept 12 from 8 a.m. to noon at the GCHS track for a walk-a-thon to celebrate the 250th birthday of the U.S.
