🚧 We Want Your Input to Help Shape Safer Streets in Moab & Grand County 🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚗
Join the City of Moab and Grand County for an open house on the Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Safety Action Plan and share your ideas for improving transportation safety along key community corridors.
📅 Monday, June 8
🕓 4:30–6:30 p.m.
📍 Grand Center, 182 North 500 West
The Safety Action Plan aims to reduce serious crashes and improve safety, mobility, and accessibility for everyone who lives, works, and visits our community. Funded through a federal SS4A grant, the plan builds on the 2022 Unified Transportation Master Plan and focuses on three priority corridors:
• Mill Creek Drive — from 400 East/300 South to U.S.-191
• Spanish Valley Drive — from Mill Creek Drive to the San Juan County border
• Spanish Trail Road — from U.S.-191 to Murphy Lane
Your input matters. Community members, visitors, and corridor users are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and share feedback to help determine future transportation improvements.
🗺️ Can’t attend? Participate through the project’s interactive comment map and share your ideas online at https://moabcity.gov/725/SS4A.

Congratulations to these great, engaged community members. And thank you to the Moab City Police Department for your hard work in launching this program!

Last night these wonderful people graduated from the first ever Moab Police Department Citizen's Academy, a six-week program designed to give the student an introduction to police work, and a look behind the curtain at how their local police department trains and conducts business.

This group was amazing! Every single one of them have our respect and gratitude for stepping up and accepting this challenging opportunity. It was so good to work closely with so many new friends from our community and to get to know them as they got to know us and how we operate.

We're so grateful for the last six weeks we had with everyone, and for insight and feedback they provided us. Most of all, we're grateful for the relationships we built, the sharing of ideas, the respect for everyone on the team, and the opportunity to get such an amazing and diverse group of people in the same room to experience so much together. Thank you all,

Chief Lex Bell

💧 Every drop counts! 💧
Utah Gov. Spencer Cox has declared a state of emergency due to statewide drought conditions. Here in Moab, we are facing extreme drought and historically low snowpack.
The City of Moab is working to reduce our water consumption, and we’re asking residents and businesses to join in and help protect one of our most valuable resources. Small actions can make a big impact.
Follow our social media and website (https://moabcity.gov) for more water conservation tips and information.
Conserving water benefits our entire community!
