To help reduce traffic congestion and provide access to Arches for everyone, Arches National Park uses an optional free shuttle system. The shuttle takes you to two of the most visited spots in the park: Delicate Arch and The Windows. And if you’re taking a shuttle from town, you can skip the entrance line!

Shuttles run now until the end of October, then again from March to June.

The Mud Springs trail system will host its first high school NICA race on September 12. We're really proud of this trail system — see photo 2 to see our trail team in action building the trail last year.

One of the best ways to explore the Moab is on foot. While off-roading vehicles, bikes, and rafts can get you further in the backcountry, you can always explore with a decent pair of shoes and a small pack for water and snacks. National park landmarks like Delicate Arch and Mesa Arch get the hiking spotlight, but there’s much more to see here.

Most of the orange and red sandstone you'll see as you explore is Entrada Sandstone, Carmel Formation, and Navajo Sandstone formed during the Jurassic Period. You can learn more about geology here by joining a guided ranger talk at the national and state parks!
