The Back to School hustle and bustle is in full swing!🍎🤓🍎 Say yes, please! ( to saying “no”)…and try positive redirection:
✏️ Offer a choice: Say, "We cannot buy that toy today. Do you want to pick out a healthy snack?"
✏️ Focus on what they can do: Say, "We must leave the toy on the shelf. You can hold the shopping list for me instead."
✏️ Acknowledge the wish: Say, "That looks like a fun game. We are not buying games today, but we can take a picture of it to put on your wish list."
❤️Please call us to schedule a pause to take time for yourself❤️ 435-259-1658

We have a self-destructive habit of thinking we have to pick a side. We tell ourselves that if we admit we are exhausted, we are being ungrateful. Or, if we express gratitude, we have to pretend the struggle isn’t real.

But being a parent doesn't mean being a robot.

The heaviness of the responsibility and the softness of the joy occupy the same space. You can be deeply committed to the sanctuary you are building and still be desperately ready for the day to end. Admitting that the "hard parts" are hard isn't a betrayal of your family; it’s an honest assessment of the work.

When we stop trying to "cancel out" the overwhelm with forced gratitude, we actually become more steady. We stop fighting our own reality and start leading from a place of truth. You aren't failing because you're tired; you're just doing a massive job that requires everything you have.

You don't need to apologize for the exhaustion. It is the evidence of how much you are pouring in.

Holding the tension of both doesn’t make you conflicted. It makes you a human who is doing the work. ❤️

Call us and take some time for self care while we care for your little ones❤️435-259-1658

Parenting asks so much of you—your time, your energy, your patience. But taking care of yourself isn’t selfish. It’s one of the most important ways you take care of your family.

Self-care doesn’t have to be big or complicated. It can look like:
• Taking a quiet moment to breathe
• Going for a short walk
• Reaching out to a friend
• Letting yourself rest without guilt

And sometimes, it means asking for help.

If you need time to recharge, respite care is available—offering a safe, supportive space for your children while you take the moment you need to reset and care for yourself.

Because when you feel supported and restored, you can show up as the parent you want to be.

You deserve that care, too.
