Congratulations to the newest officers and troopers who recently completed the Law Enforcement Phlebotomy Program through Moberly Area Community College!

This highly specialized program begins with selection through the Missouri Law Enforcement Phlebotomy Program Task Force and includes six weeks of online coursework, hands-on lab training at the MACC Mexico campus, and 100 successful blood draws completed at approved clinical sites before officers earn qualification status.

Since the program began, MACC-trained officers have completed hundreds of investigative blood draws that support DWI enforcement, crash investigations, and public safety efforts across Missouri — all while helping reduce strain on local hospitals and emergency rooms.

MACC is proud to partner with agencies statewide, including the Missouri State Highway Patrol, as this innovative program continues to grow and gain national attention. Congratulations again to these dedicated professionals for their commitment to training, accountability, and service to their communities!

For the past 2+ years, Tanner has been the heart, spirit, and energy inside MaJiC the Greyhound — bringing smiles, school spirit, and unforgettable moments to our campuses and communities. But beyond the mascot suit, Tanner has also been a leader in MACC - PTK Alpha Tau Chapter, a champion for MACC, and a dedicated student pursuing his AAS in Mechatronics.

Now, Tanner graduates from MACC with dual degrees and a legacy that will be hard to match. Greyhound Nation truly won’t be the same without you.

A busy and exciting spring semester is in the books at MACC! In his latest interview with NEMOPressbox.com following the May 18 Board of Trustees meeting, MACC President Dr. Todd Martin reflects on a whirlwind of year-end celebrations, highlighted by nearly 900 degrees awarded during Commencement on May 15.

Dr. Martin also recognizes the success of Greyhound Baseball as they advanced to district tournament play, shares reminders that enrollment is open now for summer and fall classes (with summer classes beginning June 8), and highlights upcoming opportunities including Greyhound Basketball Camp June 15–19 for students in grades 2–12.

MACC Greyhound Basketball Camp | June 15–19

Open to Girls and Boys in Grades 2–12

The Moberly Area Community College Basketball Program will host the Greyhound Summer Basketball Camp June 15–19 at the Fitzsimmons-John Arena.

The camp is open to girls and boys in grades 2–12 and will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily, with a half-day session on Friday.

Camp activities will include daily skill development, shooting instruction, contests and competitions, as well as team and league play. The cost is $150 per camper. Each participant will receive a daily lunch and a MACC Basketball Camp T-shirt.

Instruction will be provided by Greyhound coaches, current players, and former players.

MACC recently celebrated our retirees at a special luncheon in Moberly, recognizing the loyalty and lasting impact of faculty and staff who helped build MACC into a cornerstone of higher education across northeast and central Missouri. Their commitment has strengthened generations of Greyhounds and will continue to shape our future for years to come.
