Our Public Utilities Safety Committee hosts monthly meetings for the entire department, with each session covering a different topic. In March, H&H Health Associates provided instruction on workplace drug and alcohol prevention and in April we discussed Defensive Driving techniques. These training topics are sponsored in part by MIRMA, our municipal risk management association, to promote a safer and more effective workforce for our community.

EMERGENCY WATER SERVICE OUTAGE AND BOIL ADVISORY
(Moberly, MO – 5/7/26) A temporary disruption in water service on the 800 block of W Reed St. occurred on Thursday, May 7th due to construction activity in the area. Water service will be restored after repairs are complete. The outage affects the following addresses.

800 Block of W Reed
200 Block of Tannehill
700-800 Blocks of W Coates
(Outage may affect surrounding areas)

If customers experienced low water pressure, or had no water, in their area, there will be a 48-hour Boil Advisory once water service is restored. Boil advisories are due to the time required for testing to confirm water quality in the system. During an advisory, water used for consumption should be boiled for 3 minutes and cooled before drinking.

Customers with questions should call the water office at 660-263-4420.

The 2025 Annual Water Quality Report is now available.

The Consumer Confidence Report (Annual Water Quality Report) is distributed by mid-June as required by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. This report shares with customers detailed information about the City's water source and quality, and summarizes analytical tests from the previous year.

Notification of the report is mailed in customer utility bills and hard copies can also be obtained at City Hall.

Are You Ready for Spring Cleaning?

The Moberly Household Hazardous Waste facility is officially opening for the season this week! Safely dispose of those old chemicals and cleaners so they stay out of our landfills and water supply.
Open from April to October
2nd Saturday (April 11) 9AM – 12PM
2nd Tuesday (April 14) 3PM – 6PM

Facility located at 151 West Outer Rd.
(Directly east of Oakland Cemetery, next to the Animal Shelter)

Acceptable Items:
Oil-based & Latex Paints
Pesticides, Herbicides & Fertilizers
Used Motor Oil & Antifreeze
Household Cleaners & Batteries
Fluorescent Light Bulbs

Remember:
Please keep materials in their original containers with legible labels. If a container is leaking, place it in a plastic container with clay-type kitty litter.

City contractors are rebuilding a manhole and replacing a sewer line in an alley off of N Morley St. this week. This is a proactive project to prepare the way for any future development the area may experience. We appreciate the patience of the surrounding businesses and residents during this upgrade and expect to have full access to the area restored by Tuesday.

(Moberly, MO – 3/23/26) A temporary disruption in water service will occur on Thursday, March 26th, to allow a new tie-in to the area water main. Water service will be restored after construction is complete. The outage affects the following addresses.

300 & 400 block of North Ave.
All of Wheeler Street
(Outage may affect surrounding areas)

We're happy to announce the Water Office drive-thru window is open again! Residents can make payments with cash, credit or check, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. The Dropbox still available after hours. Only payments are accepted at the drive-thru. Please come inside to sign up for new service.
