🌮 CONVERSATION #77 — Bratchers Market Moberly MO! ❤️

Well… Cookie Chat Friday has officially gone rogue. 😂

I went on vacation. Cookie Chat apparently went with me because I was too lazy to find a substitute. I came back ready to get my act together…and discovered Dots bakery is closed while they move to their new location.

Cupcakes were considered.

But then my organized chaos took over and somehow we landed on…

CHIPS & QUESO. 😂🙌

And you know what? I’m not mad about it.

So today, Chips & Queso Chat made its debut at Bratchers Market for 25 for 25 Conversation #77! 🎉

I dropped off some chips & queso for the employee break room, along with a 25 for 25 bag for Jim Bratcher, and shared how just $25 a month from local businesses can add up to BIG impact right here in Randolph County.

Because apparently the lesson today is:

🍪 No cookies?
🧁 Forget the cupcakes.
🧀 GET THE QUESO AND KEEP GOING.

Same mission.
Same conversations.
Same slightly organized-chaos United Way lady.

Different carbs. 😂❤️

WE’RE BACK! 😂

You may have noticed our 100 Conversations journey got a little…quiet.

Here’s what happened: I delivered the 25 for 25 bag to Moberly Martial Arts, went on vacation, came home…and apparently left part of my brain wherever I vacationed. 🤦‍♀️😂

I got sidetracked, Conversation 76 never made it to Facebook, and our poor 100 Conversations Campaign has been sitting patiently waiting for me to get my act together.

So, Moberly Martial Arts, you’re officially getting us back in the swing—or maybe the kick—of things! 🥋

Moberly Martial Arts is about much more than learning how to throw a punch or land a kick. It’s about confidence, discipline, respect, perseverance, and giving kids and adults skills they can carry far beyond the mat.

And really, that’s what 25 for 25 is about, too: local businesses stepping up, doing their part, and helping build a stronger Randolph County.

We are incredibly excited to welcome Rooted 242 as Founding Member #6 of United Way of Randolph County’s 25 for 25 Business Campaign!

And this partnership feels especially meaningful because Rooted 242’s mission is rooted in something we believe deeply: giving people the support they need to build a stronger future.

Rooted 242 serves young people aging out of foster care, helping provide the encouragement, connection and support they need as they step into adulthood. For young adults who may be facing that transition without the family safety net many of us take for granted, that kind of community can make all the difference. 🌳❤️

That’s exactly what 25 for 25 is about.

Twenty-five local businesses giving just $25 a month. Small commitments that, together, create opportunities, strengthen local programs and help our neighbors when they need it most.

You know who you are.

If you've ever said:

..it's time for a closet intervention. 😆

United Way of Randolph County is accepting donations of new and gently used purses for our Purses with a Purpose Sale during Junk Junktion on September 12, 2026.

Instead of letting those handbags continue their long retirement in the back of your closet, send them out into the world to do some good!

United Way partnerships are making a real difference for Missouri families. ❤️

Through this work, 2,266 Missouri families have received support, helping 5,135 children remain in stable housing.

And the need continues. Missouri 211 data recorded an astounding 84,162 housing needs and 42,202 utility needs.

Behind every one of those numbers is a family. A child. A neighbor who needed a little help to stay safe, secure, and moving forward.

That’s why every donation, every partnership, and every person who steps up matters.

These numbers prove just how powerful those small acts can be.
