Hi friends! As we prepare for our grand opening, hereâs more about our new little library!
The Little Blue Book Box (Charter #204162) is a Little Free Library located on Eagle Street in Moberly. The mission of the Little Blue Book Box is to promote the joy of reading to community members of all ages.
The way it works is simple: take a book, share a book, read, and repeat! If you see something youâd like to read, take it. You donât have to leave a book at the same time you take one. Once youâve read it, you can keep the book, return it to the Little Blue Book Box, or pass it along to a friend or other Little Free Library.
We stock books for readers of all ages, and our hope is that you find your next favorite book here. Our Little Free Library serves a broader community, so we will have books of all genres and age levels. Parents are in charge of what books their kiddos bring home. If you find a book in our library that you donât personally agree with, please do not remove the bookâjust leave it for another reader! If youâre curious about whether a book might be a good fit for your reader, I recommend visiting https://www.commonsensemedia.org/.
The Little Blue Book Box is stewarded by volunteers. We want everyone to feel welcome to use the library, so we ask that you show care and respect when visiting. Please donât leave trash in the library, and please donât donate books that are molded, torn or heavily damaged, or in any other condition you wouldnât want in your own home.
Follow along with us here on Facebook and on Instagram .lfl. If you have questions or feedback, you can sign the guest book in the library or email us at [email protected].
The Little Blue Book Box is a charter member of Little Free Library, a nonprofit organization that inspires a love of reading, builds community, and sparks creativity through neighborhood book-sharing boxes.
