The Family Center, in partnership with MCPSS's Social Services Department, is offering a free Parent Project zoom class starting on August 25 at 6 p.m. Parent Project is a research-based class that gives parents practical strategies to build stronger relationships with their children, improve communication and understanding, encourage positive behavior and responsibility, and gain confidence in parenting. The Open Doors Resale & Thrift Store at 4125 Government Boulevard is selling new school uniforms for $5 each. The store, which supports the mission agencies of the Mobile District of the United Methodist Church, also sells household items and furniture.
