City of Mobile Ombudsman The Ombudsman is an advocate for builders and developers in Mobile. The City of Mobile Ombudsman office consists of members of the CitiSmart Department.

This program is designed to help anyone who is trying to build in the City of Mobile move as smoothly as possible through the plan review and permitting process. The Ombudsman website is designed to quickly obtain the information required for a case to be picked up. The Ombudsman program was developed at the direction of Mayor Jones with input from the Staff of the City of Mobile Departments who a

re involved in the plan review and permitting process, as well as customers who design, build and sell developmental and other building projects within the City.
