If you have lost a pet, we post all intakes on our website the day they are brought in. The purpose of the Mobile County Animal Shelter Facebook is to promote the agency’s ‘Opt-To-Adopt’ Program. We hope our Facebook postings will encourage you to adopt stray animals from our shelter, inform you about adoptable animals available and those that have been adopted, let you know about upcoming events

such as rabies/microchip clinics and special adoption events, assist owners with lost pets by sharing photos, and provide educational information relating to pets. The Mobile County Animal Shelter reserves the right to remove derogatory comments and statements from its page that do not encourage the adoption of animals. Our priority is to find homes for our adoptable animals. If you have concerns or recommendations about our operations, please call us or visit us here at the shelter.

Check out our latest arrivals. All animals arriving at MCAS receive veterinary attention and all are monitored by licensed veterinary personnel during their stay. All stray animals picked up by Animal Control are held for 7 days to give owners time to reclaim their pets. If you are an owner, please call (251) 574-3647.

Meet Roman 🤍

This stunning Akita has a heart as beautiful as his looks. Roman came to the shelter injured, but through it all, he has remained gentle, loving, and incredibly sweet. He’s the kind of dog who leans in for affection, cherishes every kind word, and reminds everyone he meets what resilience looks like.

Now healed and ready for a fresh start, Roman is searching for a family who will give him the bright future he deserves. After everything he’s been through, it’s his turn for happy days, soft beds, and unconditional love.
