For some kids, protecting our waterways starts with getting out on them.

We're preparing for our fall session of NextGen Baykeepers, and we have spots available for kids currently in grades 4-6. The program runs October 6- October 29 and takes place Tuesday-Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Dog River Park.

Through our NextGen Baykeepers program, kids from across Mobile County get to kayak to the cypress trees along Dog River, get an up close look at local plants and wildlife, and learn directly from environmental experts.

Experiences like these give kids the chance to explore their own backyards and build a connection to the places we are asking the next generation to protect.
