DEVELOPING TOMORROW'S AUDIENCE:
The theater component of this initiative is designed to introduce children to Professional Theater. Our intent is to get the children accustomed to coming to the theater and to instill in them a lifelong habit of participating in the arts. READING IS THE KEY:
The reading component of this initiative is designed to develop and enhance, within children, the joy that i
s derived from reading a book. Our intent is to stretch their imaginations and give children the opportunity to see beyond their physical surroundings while providing a skill that will serve them for a lifetime. LIFETIME MEMORIES:
The impressions we make upon our children last a lifetime. These Field Trips are presented to give our community the gift of live theater and an experience these children will never forget. RESERVE YOUR SEATS:
The discounted rate for students is $5. We allow, free of charge, one (1) chaperon/teacher for every ten (10) students attending the performance. Additional parents, bus drivers, teachers, aides or other chaperons must pay $5 to attend the performance. Please let us know in advance if yu have students with special seating needs and/or disabilities. LEGACY 166 allows advance reservations for busy teachers and payment is not due until 2 weeks before your first performance! To purchase school group tickets, please call Juanita Roberts at (251) 287-1018. Tickets for schools may only be reserved via telephone or fax (251) 27-1015. LEGACY 166 provides opportunities for home schools to attend performances during school shows. If for any reason a performance is canceled or individual and/or groups are unable to attend a scheduled performance, LEGACY 166 will accommodate these situations by rebooking you and/or your group for another show. All performances have a running time of 45 - 60 minutes. Free Study Guides are available upon request and have been created by teachers for teachers based on the current Alabama Course of Study Curriculum Standards. LEGACY 166 is a nonprofit 501(C)3 charitable organization. We are grateful for the generous philanthropic support of our sponsors and contributors. Please support them because they keep the arts alive. This program has been made possible by grants from the Alabama State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
