Updates to share with the Community!
- The Angel Rd. & US 601N project has been fully completed and at this time and is back 100% operational. Let's all remain positive and hope that this project eliminates or at least decreases the number of accidents we have seen and responded to at this Intersection.

-For those in the Community that have missed our Siren being set off for Emergencies for the past few months, there is good news in that we have it back Operational at this time. For the folks that enjoyed the quietness we hope that you understand this need for this tool. Let this also serve as a quick reminder our siren is also activated in the events of a Tornado or severe Thunderstorms Warnings capable of producing Tornadic activity

Wm R Davie has provided mutual aid to Forsyth County to assist them with their current crisis. We are currently staged at the airport awaiting assignments along with several other neighboring agencies. We will remain on scene to provide assistance until our services are no longer needed. It’s what the service is about today there no names on the side of these trucks! We are out here as a service to provide and protect. Also thanks to all other Davie County Departments that are either providing direct assistance or that are willing to provide assistance to the committed Departments.

SAFTEY ALERT & Response Delays!!!
Area Road Closure of Angel Rd & Angel Rd Ext.

To all Area Residents & thru Traffic beginning Monday 7/13/26-8/9/26 the intersections of (3300 Block) 601N to both Angel & Angel Rd Ext will be closed for upgrades to the intersection. The plan is for DOT to raise 601 up to a height to overtake the blind spot at this Intersection & then bring the Angel Roads up to the same level completing the project. During this project we expect US 601 to be down to 1 lane of travel from 8am - 5pm each day during this time. If Angel Rd is a needed access, please follow the detour routes of either Cana or Richie Roads.

Please bear with us during this time as our response into this effected area will be delayed as well within reaching you but we are aware and will do our best to reach you as soon as possible as we have added resources for the area. Last night, William R. Davie personnels training consisted of several methods of water transfer from a water source to the location of the fire. This training was done not only to help better our knowledge of on scene tactics and ways to provide the most water transfer needed but also help us prepare for our upcoming ISO inspection next month. Every 5 years, fire departments across North Carolina are required to go thru an ISO inspection. These inspections help to determine each department performance capabilities which contributes to the home owner insurance rates in the district. Each member plays a critical role in ensuring the department as a whole performs to the highest level for our community that entrusts us!

Good morning. It's Spring Fling day. If you are a vendor or part of the car show, come in through the entrance at the dragstrip where the Farmington Dragway sign is. The public will enter through the other gate at 9:30.

Don’t forget to bring you a chair so you can sit and enjoy some bluegrass music by Cranberry Creek and Bluegrass Band.

If you would like to be a vendor and did not register or prepay, there are still spots available for you to come and join us today. Pack your vehicle and come on out!!

Gates are open for vendors and food trucks for setup.

We look forward to seeing each of you today!! Thank you for your support to the local business owners and for the support to the William R Davie Volunteer Fire Department!
