HISTORIC 14th STREET TOUR of Downtown Modesto!! Shout out to Dr. Delappe's historic property @ 915 14th

The McHenry Museum & Historical Society and the City of Modesto’s McHenry Museum invite you to join us for a historic walking tour of 14th Street in Modesto on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Four 14th St historic homes (now businesses) are included on the tour:
• Hatton-Davis Home (Love Stanislaus) at 909 14th St
• DeLappe Home (Provident Home Care) at 915 14th St
• Elias-Harris Home (Hawks & Associates CPAs, Inc.), at 1015 14th St
• Kerr-Maddux-Morgan (Queen Bean) at 1126 14th St

The tour includes access to the interior of the homes, historical photos, and a unique opportunity to meet several living relatives of the home’s original owners.

Proceeds from tour ticket sales will benefit the planned Janet Lancaster History Center at the museum, which will digitize archives secured on site

Scan the QR Code to or drop by the McHenry Museum to purchase your tickets. The museum is open Friday’s through Sunday’s from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Queen Bean Coffee House

It’s the little things. ❤️ Today we got the porch lights and fans to work outside! This will make things cooler on the porch! And we couldn’t be more excited about lights for both nighttime safety and aesthetics. Before we make big changes, we’re gonna make important small ones to make Queen Bean more inviting. She derves a little TLC. 🙏🏽

The grand opening of the Potter the Otter exhibit at the Nick W. Blom Salida Regional Library was a hit! This STEM-based exhibit is designed to help teach children 5 and under about healthy eating. Children and their families can explore the exhibit in the library's Story Time room between now and June 3! Visit our Instagram page to see more photos from this event.
