Good morning everyone! Here is the 2025 Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Disposal Guide.
Please note that the Stanislaus County HHW facility will be open Fridays and Saturdays 8:00AM -12:00PM only for Stanislaus County Household residents throughout the entire year, including the summer months.
Please note that the Stanislaus County HHW Facility will not accept wastes generated from businesses on Fridays or Saturdays.
If you have any further questions, please contact the Stanislaus County Department of Environmental Resources at 209-525-6700 Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 4:30PM.

Due to the weather forecast for Saturday December 14th, 2024, there will be no reuse session being held.

The reasoning behind this is decision comes as a result of prioritizing the safety of County Staff and County Residents. The HHW Facility will be open as scheduled 8am - 12pm.

• Saturday November 30th.

The facility will continue regular operations the following week starting 8AM – 12PM Friday December 6th.

Good afternoon,

The Household Hazardous Waste collections event will be tomorrow, October 19 from 8 AM to noon (12PM) at the City of Turlock Water Quality Control parking lot.

901 S Walnut Rd, Turlock, Ca 95380

County staff will be able to collect Latex Paint, Used Oil, Antifreeze, Household batteries and Household Hazardous items from Turlock residents tomorrow.

Our Household Hazardous Waste Facility on, 1710 Morgan Rd. Modesto, Ca 95358 will be able to accept household hazardous materials from 8am to 12pm for all Stanislaus County residents during this time. This facility is open year-round (excluding Thanksgiving weekend) on Fridays and Saturdays from 8am - 12pm.

We are looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow and at the next event this upcoming Spring 2025, so please keep an eye out for future announcements with dates to come.

Important Schedule Change Notice:
Due to extreme heat, the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility will open at 7:30 am and close early at 11:00 am on Friday and Saturday, July 5 and 6.

On Friday and Saturday, July 12 and 13, the HHW Facility will open at 7:30am and may also close early at 11:00 am, depending on the temperature forecast.

Good morning everyone! Here is the 2023 Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Disposal Guide.

Please note the following updates:

- New Reuse Program hours are every Saturday from 7:00AM-8:00 AM for Stanislaus County Residents to come to the Stanislaus County HHW Facility to take home a variety of items (e.g. oil, antifreeze, latex and oil-based point, etc.), that other residents have dropped off but are still in good condition.

- New summer hours for the Stanislaus County HHW facility from June through August: Open Fridays and Saturdays 7:30AM-11:30AM for Stanislaus County Households.

From September through May, the Stanislaus County HHW facility is open Fridays and Saturdays 8:00AM - 12:00PM for Stanislaus County Households.

- Stanislaus County HHW Facility will not accept wastes generated from businesses on Fridays or Saturdays.
