Step back in time for an afternoon of old-fashioned fun! Play Victorian-era games like hoop races, croquet, and parlor games, while exploring fun activity stations inspired by the 1880s! Take a break to enjoy a cold treat provided by the McHenry Mansion Foundation. This is a perfect day to experience history hands-on in a festive, welcoming setting. Open to all and free to attend! Our community has been making a splash at the 4th Street Park Aquatics Center!

You can now plan ahead for your summer fun and pre-register for a session at the 4th Street Park Aquatics Center.

The City’s Parks and Recreation team has launched an online pre-registration process for entry to the Aquatics Center.

For each session through September 6, 2026, 300 spots are available for pre-registration, with an additional 50 walk-up spots for each session. So, register online in minutes and spend more time in the water.

Step up to the plate with the City of Modesto Adult Softball Leagues! Registration for Adult Men’s, Adult Women’s, Coed Competitive, and Coed Recreational slow-pitch leagues begins today, August 7 and runs through Friday, August 28.

• Team registration only (first-come, first-served)
• Full entry fee required at registration
