What an incredible day of friendly competition, teamwork, and community fun at the inaugural Battle for the Buoy Water Ball Showdown!

Firefighters, families, and community members came together to enjoy a great event filled with laughs, water, and a little healthy rivalry. Events like these are a great reminder that the fire service is about more than emergency response—it’s about building relationships and strengthening the bond between firefighters and the communities we proudly serve.

A huge congratulations goes out to Robert Foster and his wife, Katie Foster, for taking 1st Place and earning bragging rights as the inaugural Battle for the Buoy champions! 🏆🔥 Their teamwork, determination, and competitive spirit carried them all the way to the top.

River season is here — and we want everyone to make it home safe.

Before you hit the water:
• Wear a life jacket
• Designate a sober operator
• Keep a constant eye on children
• Hydrate early and often
• Respect river conditions, currents, and changing weather

Arizona heat and river conditions can turn dangerous fast. A great day on the water starts with preparation and smart decisions. Stay safe, look out for each other, and enjoy the season responsibly. 🌊☀️🚤

Station 84 A Shift
Captain Winn • Firefighter Michel • Engineer Smith

Behind every call is a crew committed to service, training, and protecting this community. Day after day, these firefighters continue to show up ready to answer the call — whether it’s emergency response, training, or serving the people who count on us most.

Thank you to the firefighters who put in the work quietly, professionally, and consistently every single shift. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.

Arizona summers can turn dangerous in minutes. Extreme heat affects everyone — kids, adults, pets, and even healthy people working or playing outside. Stay ahead of the heat by hydrating early, taking breaks in the shade, and checking on family, friends, and neighbors.

Never leave children or pets in a vehicle — not even for a minute. Together, we can keep our community safe this summer. ☀️🚒

🚒 TRAINING TUESDAY 🚒

Reps matter.
Today our crews focused on hose loads for our engine companies — deploy, stretch, reload, and do it again until it becomes second nature.

The fireground doesn’t care if you’re tired, distracted, or having an off day. Muscle memory and teamwork save time when seconds count.

Crosslays packed right.
Deployments smooth.
Reloads clean.
Ready for the next call.

Train like your citizens depend on it — because they do.
