This morning, Mohegan EMS was dispatched to our 2700th call of the year.

The growing strain on our system is handled professionally and swiftly by our dedicated volunteers and partners Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

Mohegan EMS consistently maintains a low mutual aid reliance rate and that is only made possible by our members.

However, our mission to serve needs your help. If you see a letter in the mail from us, please consider donating to our 2026 fund-drive. Our agency is not immune to the increase in expenses we are all feeling, today.

Being we do not collect any tax dollars, the donations we receive go directly towards alleviating the pressure from some operational expenses.

We applaud the decision by the village of Croton-on-Hudson to pass a common sense law that promotes local first responders to stay within their community.

Mohegan EMS stands by the idea that cost-of living is too high for our youth and young members and we are in favor of any up-front real time policies, like affordable housing for first responders, that help relieve some of the modern stress associated with living in the “Mohegan” community.

Our members are the backbone of our local emergency services and we are actively advocating local leadership to make the common sense decisions to help them stay here.

We’d like to commend the Peekskill Professional Firefighters Local 2343, Cortlandt Peekskill RPS, and Peekskill Community Volunteer Ambulance Corps for the tremendous work they put in during this incident.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families of this devastating fire.
