🇪🇸From Spain to Cumru Township🇺🇸

Our officers had the pleasure of meeting Minerva, an exchange student from Spain staying with a family here in Berks County for the Summer. Minerva was fascinated by American Policing and we were delighted to spend some time with her and make some lasting memories!

The Cumru Township Police Department would like to thank everyone who helped make the 50th Anniversary of the Greater Governor Mifflin League Community Days such a memorable success!

After nine days of food, entertainment, and community celebration, the event came to a close on the 4th of July with an amazing fireworks display. The timing couldn’t have been better, as the fireworks were able to light up the sky perfectly between the storms that moved through the area.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all of the residents, visitors, and vendors who came out to celebrate and who cooperated with the rules, regulations, and safety measures throughout the event. Your patience, understanding, and cooperation helped our officers and event staff keep everyone safe while allowing everyone to enjoy the milestone celebration.

Throughout the nine day event, Cumru Township Police officers remained committed to providing professional law enforcement services across the entire township while also supporting Community Days. In addition to ensuring the safety of the festival and its visitors, our officers continued to respond to calls for service throughout the township and were proud to participate in the Community Days parade. It was a true team effort, and we are grateful for the dedication and professionalism our officers displayed throughout the celebration.

From the Cumru Township Police Department, thank you for making the 50th Anniversary of the Greater Governor Mifflin League Community Days an event to remember. We are proud to serve such a supportive and community-minded township.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the spectators who came out on both July 2nd and today, to witness this amazing piece of history. Your patience, cooperation, and understanding while gathering along the route helped make the event a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

ATTENTION RESIDENTS - NEW PERMANENT NO PARKING ZONE. 🚫

Please be advised that permanent NO PARKING signs have been installed on the southbound side of Elkins Avenue from Harding Avenue to Governor Drive.

These signs are not temporary and will remain in effect. Vehicles parked within the posted NO PARKING zone are subject to enforcement, including:

-Parking Citations
-Towing at the owner’s expense

We know finding a parking spot isn’t always easy, but we promise we’d rather see your vehicle in your driveway or on another street, than on the back of a tow truck. Help us out by observing the new signage, and parking only in designated areas.

Thank you for your cooperation as we work together to keep our roadways safe, accessible, and clear for everyone.
