Looking for a fun way to keep your child active this summer? The G2VBC Youth Volleyball Academy at Mokena Community Park District is the perfect place for Grades 1–8 to learn the game, improve their skills, and have a blast doing it! This 8-week program focuses on fundamentals, teamwork, and maximum participation to help players grow their confidence on the court while having fun each week.

It's that time of year again! Woofstock is returning to Yunker Park on Sunday, June 7th. You won't want to miss this free, paw-some afternoon of fun!

📷Woofstock's Social Media Star is a FREE contest you can enter your pet in for a chance to win a prize. To enter, submit your pet's photo to [email protected] by May 22. Voting of the 10 finalists will take place on our page from May 27-June 3. The winner will be announced at Woofstock.

The wait is over — the Main Park Accessible Playground, located at 10925 W. Laporte Road, is officially OPEN! 🎉

We’re excited to welcome lots of visitors throughout the holiday weekend and beyond. As everyone comes out to enjoy the new playground, we ask that you please keep a few very important things in mind during these busy times:

1️⃣ Please be courteous to others by limiting time spent on individual pieces of equipment so everyone has a chance to play.

2️⃣ Please Park in the large parking lot south of the playground. The smaller lot near the Administration Center should remain available for staff and visitors conducting park district business during regular business hours.

3️⃣ Please help keep the bathrooms area playground area clean by using the designated trash receptacles. Additional temporary trash cans will be available around the playground until our new ones arrive.

4️⃣ Please respect any landscaping work continuing outside the playground perimeter.

3️⃣ Never wear metal cleats or heals on the playground surface. You can be held responsible for any damage caused by misuse.

More playground-specific information will be shared in the coming days, along with an update on the opening of the Green Meadows Playground.
