The mission of the Moline Police Benevolent & Protective Association Unit #2 (PBPA) is to strengthen the bond between the Police and the local residents of Moline and Rock Island County. We achieve this mission by hosting fundraisers throughout the year. Most funds raised during these events are given back to the community through donations to local youth events, local charities, community events,
feeding the needy at Thanksgiving and shopping with children in need at Christmas time. Our membership maintains and promotes a, social as well as a fraternal organization by providing assistance to all members and their families in their time of need. We continue to promote the morale and welfare for the collective good of all members of the Moline Police Department. We hope you will find our page both informative and user friendly. The Police Benevolent & Protective Association Unit #2 Board is currently in the process of updating/upgrading our page. It is our intention to add features to better communicate with our members. As we continue to improve our page, we will continue to ask you for your feedback. If you have any suggestions on making our page better, please feel free to email your comments to our board members. Today in the United States, some 900,000 law enforcement officers put their lives on the line for the safety and protection of others. They serve with valor and distinction – and with great success. Each year, there are approximately 16,000 assaults on law enforcement officers, resulting in nearly 60,000 injuries. Sadly, over the last decade, an average of 160 officers a year has been killed in the line of duty. And throughout U.S. history, nearly 19,000 law enforcement officers have made the ultimate sacrifice. The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund is dedicated to honoring all of America’s law enforcement heroes – those who have died in the line of duty and those who continue to serve and protect. We invite you to learn more about the heroes of American law enforcement and join us in respecting, honoring and remembering them. Please take the time to visit www.nleomf.org and learn more.
