City of Moline Government Moline has become a regional and national draw for tourists and new businesses and serves as a model for progressive urban planning.

Home to more than 43,000 people, the City, along with neighboring communities, make up the Quad Cities. Bounded north and south by the Mississippi and Rock Rivers, an entrepreneurial spirit has emerged in this river town - with new and rehabilitated buildings rising from the once industrial riverfront, revitalized downtown, flourishing ethnic neighborhoods, bike trails winding along the Mississipp

๐Ÿ—๏ธ Yesterday, we joined the Moline Housing Authority - MHA to celebrate the groundbreaking of Parkview Apartments, an important investment in affordable housing in Moline.

Building on the success of Spring Valley Village, the development will provide 20 apartment units, a duplex and supportive services for residents working toward a brighter future.

Parkview Apartments will serve low-income residents, including participants in the Statewide Referral Network, the Illinois Department of Corrections Re-Entry Program and Youth Aging Out of Foster Care.

๐Ÿ’™ A special thank you to Rick Simpson for donating the property that made this development possible. His generosity will help provide safe, stable housing for Moline families for years to come.

Congratulations to the Moline Housing Authority and all partners involved. We're proud to stand alongside those investing in housing and brighter futures for Moline residents. ๐Ÿค

At last nightโ€™s City Council meeting, we had the special honor of recognizing former City of Moline employee Anamaria Rocha for her lasting contribution to Moline.

Nearly 10 years ago, Anamaria refreshed our official City logo. A decade later, her design still represents us every day on city vehicles, signs and official documents.

Her work has become a lasting part of Moline's identity, and we wanted to make sure she knew how much it means to us.

Thank you, Anamaria! ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿšง UPDATE: 34th Street Water Main Break ๐Ÿšง

Water has been shut off to the affected addresses to allow crews to complete an emergency water main repair. A map of the impacted addresses is included below.

Once service is restored, all impacted addresses will be placed under a precautionary boil order until further notice. City staff are currently working to notify residents in the affected area.

๐Ÿ’ฆ Riverside Riverslide will still OPEN as scheduled today. Pool water is treated and safe; however, the drinking fountain will be temporarily out of service during the boil order.

We sincerely appreciate everyoneโ€™s patience and understanding as crews continue working through this unexpected situation.

Water main breaks are stressful for everyone involved, and we are incredibly grateful to the Utilities staff, contractors and all employees who unexpectedly gave up part of their weekend to respond and make repairs. ๐Ÿ’™
