Edward Chipman Library Book Club Discussion Highlights:
Next meeting Tuesday June 9th at 6pm
On Tuesday May 12th the Edward Chipman Library book club met to discuss “Lessons in Chemistry” by Bonnie Garmus. The meeting was well attended, and we welcomed a new member. The book was enjoyed by everyone. We had a lively discussion about the changes in women’s rights, the relationships between characters and the mystery of Calvin’s life.
Next month’s book is The Children Act by Ian McEwan, a novel about Fiona Maye, a High Court judge in London who presides over a trial involving a teenage Jehovah’s Witness who is refusing life-saving blood transfusions. We will meet at 6pm on June 9th at the library. Books are available at the library. All are welcome to join in the discussion.
