🐍🚨WEST TEXAS BBQ BASH — RATTLESNAKE AWARENESS! 🚨🐍

As we get ready for the West Texas BBQ Bash, we want everyone to have a safe, fun, and memorable time!

With temperatures changing throughout the day, rattlesnakes may still be active, especially during warmer afternoons. As the weather cools down, they may also seek sheltered spots around rocks, brush, equipment, and other areas where people may be walking.

A few friendly reminders while enjoying the BBQ Bash:

📌Watch where you step and stay aware of your surroundings.
📌Be cautious around tall grass, brush, rocks, and other hiding places.
📌If you see a rattlesnake, do not approach, touch, or attempt to move it. Give it plenty of space and notify event staff.
📌Remember, cooler temperatures don’t mean rattlesnakes are gone! A little awareness goes a long way in keeping everyone safe.

Let’s enjoy some great BBQ, good company, good music and West Texas hospitality while looking out for one another!
Stay alert, stay safe, and let’s make this year’s West Texas BBQ Bash a great one!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, encourage early detection, and stand beside those affected by breast cancer.
At Ward County EMS, we’re proud to support the survivors, patients, families, friends, and caregivers in our community who have been touched by this disease.

Take time this month to know your risk, know the signs, and talk with your healthcare provider about appropriate screening. Early detection can make a difference.

To everyone fighting, recovering, supporting, and remembering..we stand with you. 🚑🎀
