⚠️ UPDATE: The juvenile (Alexis Damitz) was located safe last night. It was determined she was hiding in Berkeley County at a friend’s house.

The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance in locating an endangered juvenile. BCSO is looking for 15-year-old Alexis Damitz.

Damitz was last seen at her residence on Witch Hazel Street, in the Cane Bay area of Berkeley County, around 9PM on August 9. She left her residence on foot and has not been in contact with her family.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office immediately at (843)719-4412 or Detective Fowler (843)719-4764.

Longridge and whitesville fire department is currently working a motor vehicle accident on Cooper store road. One lane of traffic blocked use caution in the area.

Longridge Fire Department is currently hiring part-time Firefighter/drivers. Minimum firefighter 1 certified. Firefighter 2 is preferred. Class E license with a clean driving record. First Aid/CPR certified. Pump Ops and EVDT are required. The shifts are 8 to 10 hours. The pay is $10.00 an hour
