🏕️ HELP US KEEP MONCKS CORNER SAFE & CLEAN 🏕️
Unauthorized camping within the Town of Moncks Corner is not permitted and is not an acceptable use of public spaces or private property without proper authorization.
These camps can create serious concerns for public health, safety, and the environment, including increased fire risks, sanitation issues, property damage, and restricted access to parks, sidewalks, and other community areas. Addressing unauthorized camping is important to protecting both those involved and the residents, businesses, and visitors who use these spaces every day.
The Town of Moncks Corner has an ordinance prohibiting unauthorized camping on public property and most private property within town limits.
This ordinance is intended to help protect public health and safety, reduce fire and environmental hazards, and ensure that public spaces remain accessible for everyone. Unauthorized camping generally includes setting up tents, shelters, or living accommodations on property without permission or legal authorization.
We understand that many individuals facing homelessness or difficult circumstances need assistance, and our goal is not simply enforcement. We want to identify issues, connect people with available resources when possible, and address concerns before they become larger health and safety problems.
