For those of you who like to plan ahead:

The Harrison County Home and Public Health will be at the Mondamin Community Center on October 8, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. to administer flu shots. Please bring your insurance card with you.
Millions of flu cases and doctor visits are stopped by the vaccine every year. If you do catch the flu despite being vaccinated, your symptoms will likely be much less severe.

Have you noticed the new street signs in Mondamin? The City of Mondamin received a grant from the Community Foundations of Southwest Iowa to purchase new street signs. Mike Kelly has been installing them.

Just a head’s up. Midwest Coatings will be in town beginning on Monday to work on the Cedar Street Project. So, for those of you visiting our park and Splash pad, the North side street of the park will be off limits. During the first phase of this project, homeowners on Cedar St. will still be able to get and out of their driveways.

Our park bathrooms were in bad shape again. To the parents that couldn't use them because of it, we sincerely apologize. We need your help to keep them clean. Please help your child when they are in the bathrooms and clean up after them. Also, wipes of any kind are not to be flushed. If you are in the park and you see that something needs done, please call Alyx at 712-646-2431.

Mondamin Community Partners Announces a Fall Decorating Contest! This contest has two categories: Traditional Fall Display and Halloween Display. Over the last few years Mondamin residents have really gone all out to decorate their homes and yards for the fall/Halloween seasons, so this year two residences will each be awarded a $50 Gift Certificate to the Jiffy Mart. You have a lot of time to plan how you will decorate! The judging will take place on the evening of October 25, 2026. Winners will be posted on Facebook and in the November Mondamin Newsletter. Good Luck!
