Bedford County Department of Fire & Rescue is now accepting applications for the Fall 2026 EMS Course.

Classes will be held August 10 through November 18, every Monday and Wednesday from 6-9 p.m., at the Bedford County Department of Fire & Rescue, 1185 Turning Point Road.

This comprehensive course combines classroom instruction with hands-on training to prepare students with the knowledge and practical skills needed for emergency medical services.

🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day from all of us at Squad 8! 🇺🇸

A few of our members kicked off the holiday this morning by standing by at the BeastLake 5K and Obstacle course.

As you celebrate with family, friends, cookouts, and fireworks, we encourage everyone to have a safe and enjoyable 4th.

A couple reminders to have a safe and happy 4th:
- Never drink and drive—designate a sober driver.
- 🎆 Leave fireworks to the professionals whenever possible, and keep a safe distance if using legal consumer fireworks.
- 💧 Stay hydrated and take breaks from the heat.
