💜 PTSD Awareness Month – June 💜

At Monett Rural Fire District, we recognize that not all injuries are visible.

Firefighters and first responders face traumatic events throughout their careers. The emotional and mental toll can be just as significant as any physical injury. PTSD affects many members of the emergency services community, yet too often the struggle remains hidden.

This month, we stand with those who are battling PTSD and other mental health challenges. We want every firefighter, first responder, veteran, and community member to know:
You are not alone. It is okay to ask for help. Seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Together, we can break the stigma surrounding mental health and create a culture where everyone feels supported.

Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten. As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, let us always remember those who gave everything for this nation.

From all of us at Monett Rural Fire District, thank you to our fallen heroes and the families who carry their legacy forward each day.

🔥 National Firefighters Day 🔥
Today, we recognize the brave men and women who answer the call—day or night—without hesitation.

At Monett Rural Fire District, we are proud to be 100% volunteer. Our members sacrifice time with their families, leave their jobs, and put themselves in harm’s way to serve this community when it matters most.

From structure fires to medical calls, vehicle accidents to wildland fires—our firefighters are always ready.

We also want to take a moment to thank the families, employers, and supporters who make it possible for our volunteers to do what they do.

🚒 Thank you to all firefighters—past and present—for your courage, dedication, and service.
If you see a firefighter today, take a moment to say thank you.
